Why Logos Christian School Nairobi was founded

God at the centre of all learning

Logos Christian School Nairobi is a ministry of Nairobi Chapel, founded in 2002 out of concern that Kenya’s national curriculum was overloaded, rote-based and exam-focused.

Logos Christian School Nairobi provides an education where God is central to all learning and the whole child is nurtured — growing in faith, integrity, compassion, discipline, service and responsibility alongside academic excellence.

Celebrating Logos Christian School Nairobi at 24

24 Years of Growing in Grace

On 9th September 2002, a vision began with just 23 learners. Twenty-four years later, Logos Christian School Nairobi is a growing community of learners, teachers, staff and families, united by a shared commitment to faith, learning, character and purpose. Our greatest growth cannot be measured in buildings or numbers. It can be seen in lives touched, hearts shaped, character formed and dreams nurtured.

Twenty-four years ago, there were 23 learners.
Today, there is a legacy — of faith, of learning, of community, of lives shaped and transformed, and of God’s faithfulness.

“We are grateful for where we have been, thankful for where we are, and excited for where God is taking us.” — Tr. Betsy

Having grown up here at Logos Christian School Nairobi, this place has truly been my second home. It’s where my faith, character, and lifelong friendships were built. Thank you to my teachers and staff for guiding me every step of the way. I’m so grateful for my time here, and I pray we all carry these values forward, stay grounded in our faith, and keep shining bright!

As a learner who has been at Logos Christian School Nairobi since kindergarten, I've had the privilege of watching this school grow and change over the years. I've seen different learners come and go, different teachers come in, different classes, different school events, different memories, and probably more homework than I would like to remember!

But through all those changes, one thing has remained the same: Logos Christian School Nairobi has been more than just a school. It has been a place where we have learned, made friends, made mistakes, grown, laughed, sometimes stressed over assignments, and created memories that we will carry with us long after we leave.

And because this is a Christian school, Logos Christian School Nairobi has also taught us something beyond what is written in our textbooks. We have been reminded about faith, character, kindness, discipline, responsibility, and the importance of putting God at the centre of our lives. Logos Christian School Nairobi is a school that helps us not only be successful but also be kind, responsible, courageous, and grounded in their faith.

I know that all the learners who walk through these gates in the years to come will look back and say: 'I was part of something special.'
